Pack your children's clothing aged 0-3 years in the Roberta bag. Ensure that what you want to sell is washed and free from holes or large stains. The textiles are steamed at Roberta to remove bacteria before the sale is completed. We only accept clothing, and thus not toys, shoes, equipment, etc. A good rule of thumb is to send in items that you would buy yourself.
One Roberta bag can be filled with about 20 pieces of clothing depending on the size. If you want to sell more, you can simply purchase more bags. The bag should be closed after filling, so nothing is sticking out. The bag measures 50x70 cm.
Depending on where you live, you should drop off the Roberta bag at a post office. Be sure to identify the bag by attaching the accompanying identification labels. If you are sending the bag via a post office, use the prepaid shipping label included with your bag order. Alternatively, you can send the clothing yourself. Just include a note with your name, phone number, and email in legible writing. Send it to the following parcel box:
Elite Købmand Sønder Boulevard
Sønder Boulevard 59
1720 København V
A Roberta bag costs only 29 DKK for shipping and can hold up to 20 pieces of clothing. You can also send your clothing to us yourself or drop it off for free in Vesterbro. When a piece of your clothing is sold, you receive 70% of the sale price.
For example, if you sell five items for 1000 DKK through Roberta, you receive 700 DKK. All you have to do is drop off your washed children’s clothing, and Roberta takes care of the rest. There are no handling fee if the item do not get sold.
The short answer is no, but you can request a change of price. The entire concept is built around minimizing effort for the seller. Additionally, it creates transparency and recognizability for customers, as items are priced based on condition and original price, so it does not vary depending on the seller. Prices are set based on supply and demand and as an average price of previously sold similar items. You have the opportunity to request a change of price. But if you choose to change the price, it might be harder to sell the item. Please note that if the product does not sell at the current price within one month, the price will be reduced by 10 percent, continuing for up to 6 months.
At Roberta, we price your child’s used clothing based on the original price, condition, and general demand. When you make money, we make money. Therefore, we aim to find the highest possible price that still has sales potential. Below you can see what you can expect for sales prices of used clothing depending on the condition:
New: Expected sales price around 60% of the original price (A body suit costing 100 DKK new would have an expected sales price of 60 DKK at Roberta).
Very good: Expected sales price around 50% of the original price (A body suit costing 100 DKK new would have an expected sales price of 50 DKK at Roberta).
Good: Expected sales price around 40% of the original price (A body suit costing 100 DKK new would have an expected sales price of 40 DKK at Roberta).
Acceptable: Expected sales price around 20-30% of the original price (A body suit costing 100 DKK new would have an expected sales price of 20-30 DKK at Roberta).
Poor: Expected sales price around 10-20% of the original price (A body suit costing 100 DKK new would have an expected sales price of 10-20 DKK at Roberta).
The pricing also depends on how popular the given clothing brand is, but the above can be used as a guideline for how much you can earn. Higher-end brands can often be priced a bit higher and vice versa. Before your items are added to the sales portal, you will receive a list with your items and their assessed value and sale price. Here you can request a different starting price and add a minimum sale price if desired. If you change your mind during the process, you can withdraw your items for a fee.
When you have dropped off/mailed your Roberta bag, it will be reviewed by our team. If there is any clothing that we do not find suitable for sale (holes or large stains), you will be notified. You will have three business days to respond whether you want the items sent back for a fee or if they can be donated. The latter will occur automatically if no response is received.
If the item does not sell after 6 months and has undergone discounts and price adjustments, it will be donated. In some cases, Roberta may offer to buy the item (at a lower price) if Roberta sees potential for future sale. This offer can, however, be declined.
